About the Product
The WD G-RAID PROJECT 2 (36 TB) is a high-performance dual-bay RAID desktop storage system engineered for professional creators working with massive 4K and 8K media workflows. With dual Thunderbolt™ 3 ports, USB 3.2 Gen 2 (USB-C), and an integrated PRO-BLADE™ SSD Mag slot, it delivers exceptional performance up to 510 MB/s read and 490 MB/s write. Inside are two Ultrastar enterprise-class 7200 RPM drives designed for continuous throughput, long-term reliability, and heavy production workloads.
The system comes preconfigured in RAID 0 for maximum speed and can be switched to RAID 1 for redundancy when reliability takes priority. Ideal for photographers, videographers, editors, and production teams, the G-RAID PROJECT 2 offers daisy-chain support, color-coded cable indicators, a durable all-aluminum enclosure, and expansion via PRO-BLADE SSD Mag modules. It is purpose-built for large projects, backups, and demanding creative pipelines across Mac, Windows, and iPad environments.
